Not a way to end his life

This poor boy is scheduled to go to the Shelter if not rescued by the end of the month. We got a text from a lady who had to move and could not keep Spanky. He is in good health and gets along with other dogs, no issues. She adopted him when he was a pup and now he will be put down because of his age. He is a very sweet boy and very well mannered. You would not even hear him. He is fully vetted and neutered. Thanks for the consideration. Helping an older dog is so great. If you are interested please call right away, 239-281-0739. Thanks for your interest in helping this Senior dog!

Baby Cake.

This is Champ's story: We got an email from the Shelter about a beautiful, lovable dog, a 4-year-old black lab named Champ, who was already fixed and vetted. He's done well and has not shown any aggression towards people nor dogs. He is already house- or kennel-trained. He weights 70 pounds. This lab boy is fantastic. He is so great, such a pure sweetheart, and has lots of energy and wants to play. He is in boarding right now and is doing great. Some training for the transition will be provided to the adopters. He already getting basic training right now. If you are interested in fostering or adopting wonderful boy, please call 239-338-8184.

Meet little Lucy

Lucy was found on the street with Bashful, also for adoption. The two are fostered together, and if you could adopt them, that would be fantastic. Lucy is tiny and has huge ears! She was brought to a Kill Shelter and was so scared just like her playmate, Bashful.

Lucy is young, sweet and such a little hoot. She loves other dogs and loves to go under the covers! If you would like to meet this very sweet girl, please call 239-281-0739.

Meet sweet Bashful

Bashful was found with Lucy. She is shy at first then really comes around fast. She is also petite and has some really cute ears! She was so scared at the Shelter, she couldn't go into adoption, so we rescued her and Lucy. They love it in their foster home, adjusting very well. Typical chihuahua, loving and energetic. If you would like to meet Bashful please call 239-281-0739. You won't regret it. If you can take both girls that would be fantastic. We just want to save their lives and give them a chance at a happy life!

Meet Baby Cake

This young girl has a strange name, "Baby Cake," found roaming around the middle of the state. A good samaritan brought her to safety. She has been in boarding and really needs to be in a home with another dog. She is very social and loves to play with other dogs. She is about 30 pounds, which makes her a great size. Her brindle coat is absolutely gorgeous and pretty uncommon. She is simply stunning. She is not even a year old. If interested in meeting her, please call 239-338-8184.

We have cats and kittens

Please call 239-851-3485 if you're looking to adopt a wonderful cat and/or kitten. Remember the best gift is the gift of life: foster, adopt, volunteer, contribute!

We need foster homes -- on- or off-island

We need foster homes. Even if you have only a few weeks available, please consider fostering. It means a lot to all of us who work very hard to save these guys. The Shelters are full right now, and this is kitten season, too. Please call 239-281-0739 or email us at pets@findahomegiveahome.com.

Tasty mango chutney for the cause

As you know we made some homemade mango preserves and chutney from our local trees this last few weeks. They are absolutely delicious. Coming up, anytime we are set up at the special events hosted at Santini Marina Plaza, we will have some of these fine jams and chutneys available, all going to our cause.

In the meantime, if you would like to participate, please keep all empty jars and lids for the next year. That will help us a lot. Thanks for your consideration, and as always, feel free to visit FindaHome

GiveaHome.com anytime.

Spay, neuter, adopt

Don't breed or buy while homeless die. Spay, neuter, foster and adopt a pet!
