A?petite little angel
What else can you say but cute, adorable, cuddler and petite! This little guy was going to be euthanized after being in the Shelter. He found his way to us and we hope he finds his way to your heart! The vets think he is 7 years old but he might be younger. I took him in my arms today and he just wanted to be loved and kissed. He loves to go for walks and prances around. He is a very happy, handsome little fellow. He will curl up in a ball next to you and sleep under the blanket at night. Just a happy, happy boy rescued from a Kill shelter. If you'd like to meet him, please call 239-281-0739.
Mister, the sweet giant
This big boy was in danger! He did very well when given the Shelter adoption test, but was so scared and stressed that he reacted funny with a couple other dogs. We went to see him and he was so happy to be out in the yard and be able to stretch and run. We saw no reaction to any other dogs. He is a big boy and very sweet, and put his head on one of the volunteer's legs and wanted some love. It is always heartbreaking to see how stressed and desperate the dogs get in the Shelter environment. He is about 7 years old but could be younger. He's a very sweet boy with little chance of life at this Shelter. Please call us if you can adopt or even foster this kind soul, 239-281-0739.
Scrappy is a senior puggle who has been with his parent for 11 years until the gentleman had to go into a home and could not take him. Since then, Scrappy has been bounced around and now in a crate in a shelter in a dark room with 30 other dogs packed wall to wall. It's heart-breaking story of a sweet boy who loves everyone and other dogs. He has such a great heart.
He is up-to-date on his shots and in good health. He loves to sleep and go to for small walks. Don't let this good boy end his life like this. He is too precious. Please call ASAP, 239-281-0739.
Sweet Daisy needs a home
Daisy has been in a Kill Shelter for too long! She is so sweet and so beautiful. She has a very nice temper and was even very patient with a puppy when we introduced her to one. She is still young and is a staff favorite at the Shelter. She is presently fostered on the beach and really needs her forever home. She loves to go to the beach and play with her friends at Doggie Beach. She is a mix between a boxer and a walking beagle, house-trained and very sociable. If you are interested in meeting her, please call 239-281-0739.
The mini Mango
His name is Mango because of his color! When we rescued him from the Shelter, he was scared. After a few days, he calmed down and is very well behaved, polite with other dogs and low key. I'm now fostering him with my 10 year-old daughter and my li'l mutt, Lulu. He is very sweet with them, loves to ride in the car, clean, housebroken and loves to sleep right next to you. I would call him one of my most well-balanced boys we ever had here. He's one of those dogs that would be good anywhere, as long as he is loved. Great with other dogs and cats. Please call 239-281-0739.
Ryder loves the water
Ryder, the most spectacular almost-2-year-old boy out there. He is cool and funny, loves being outside and is a great swimmer! He loves people, walks, and does really well with other dogs. He's not a couch potato, so an active family is best. He's really good with kids, too. At the end of the day, he likes to cuddle and be really close. His foster mom is so proud of how much he's learned. Come say hi! Call 239-281-0739.

Come out to our Oct. 29 benefit
We're only are a few weeks from the first event of the season, Oct. 29 in Villa Santini Plaza. We are very exited to be the guest this year and some of our volunteers will be judging the Pet Parade!
We do need volunteers that day to help at the booth. Remember these events are very important to us. This is our only way for us to receive donations and be able to vet the pets that we do.
We also feed cats on the island and vet dogs, as well, before they go to adoption. So, if you have some time that day, please consider coming to meet us. Call Isabelle, 239-281-0739, for more details.
Volunteers for future beneft
We are looking for volunteers to help with our future benefit. This year, we would like to have a live auction on the Island, and looking for a place to host it, perhaps a restaurant, club or any other suggestions would be appreciated.
So, if you want to be part of a great cause and help some pets who deserve better than being in a Shelter, please contact us.
Help with the cat colonies
We are still looking for feeders for the feral cats on the north end of the Island. The food is provided. Call 239-851-3485.

Embrace pet insurance
Our Rescue offers its adopters pet insurance with "Embrace." The first two months only cost $1, then you can decide if you wish to keep going with the coverage. It's a great way to have your little one(s) protected.
