09.12.17 Town Manager Update

September 12, 2017
Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

Starting Wednesday, Town Hall is open for services and advice if the public needs technical assistance with repairs to their property or other town matters.

Advanced Waste has operational issues. Waste services for Wednesday and Thursday will not be available until this issue is resolved.

Also we are dependent on Advanced to reestablish waste service in Times Square. We are trying to set up alternate service if the Advanced situation does not get resolved quickly.

In the interim to help expedite post hurricane cleanup we encourage property owners not to mix landscape trash and bulky waste. Kindly maintain two distinct piles.

The Southern 7-Eleven, Topps, Publix on the beach are open for water, ice and grocery needs. CVS is also open for pharmaceutical needs.

Bay Oaks recreational campus, the pool, Newton, Mound house are in the process of being prepared for re-opening. We expect to specifically announce these re-openings soon.

Finally please remind everyone that many stop signs are down and traffic signals are not fully functioning therefore please treat these intersections as four-way stops.
