Beach Area Civic Association to host forum on TPI-FMB

March 28, 2018
Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

Want to know the facts?

The Beach Area Civic Association is hosting a fact-finding forum on the TPI-FMB resort plan that will go before the Fort Myers Beach Town Council.

The first council hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 9. Anyone interested can join BACA on Monday, April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Shrine Club on San Carlos Island to hear representatives of Torgerson Properties and of the opposition group Voice of Fort Myers Beach discuss the issues of the case.

The event will be moderated by BACA president Charlie Whitehead, a former journalist of 30 years. Learn what the actual facts of the case are and hear what the Voice, Torgerson and members of the community have to say about those issues.

BACA believes local governments work best when their constituencies are well-informed. The organization exists to provide a forum for the community to discuss and debate the important issues we all face. It was created two years ago as a 501.c.4 non-profit.

Plan on joining us as we try to provide a factual framework for Beach-area residents to develop their own informed opinions.
