Now that the county's Tourist Development Council has passed on funding (for an estimated $95,000) the replacement of the Hercules Drive dock the town tore down last summer, should the town now find a way to pay to rebuild it?

I am very disappointed in The Town. The dock was one of the reasons I purchased a home on the street 12 years ago. It appears that this was a quick judgement to tear the dock down rather than looking into other options. The residents on the street already pitched in money for repairs just a couple of years ago. No doubt we could have done more. Looking forward to The Town resolving this issue.

That estimate was an old estimate !! The problem they say is parking, which has always been at the end of the block for the public at BEACH ACCESS 21 !!! If the block had known they were going to tear it down, the block was willing to fund a REPAIR along with a little funding from the town !!
